  • The calculation follows the official Federal Ministry of Finance programme flowchart (PAP 2026) for tax class I and matches the ministry's official test table to the euro.
  • We assumed age 23 or over and no children, so 0.6% was added to long-term care insurance. With children the rate is lower.
  • We used the average additional health insurance contribution of 2.9%. Your health fund may charge a slightly higher or lower rate.
  • The wage tax withheld each month is very close to the final tax for someone whose only income is salary, but the annual tax return may give you some back if your actual work expenses exceed 1,230 euros.
  • We did not cover Minijobs (up to 603 euros a month) or the Midijob range (up to 2,000 euros a month), where contributions are reduced.
  • Small additional employer contributions (U1, U2, the insolvency fund and accident insurance) are not included.

  • There is no income tax on salaries in Bahrain.

  • We assumed the contributory wage equals your gross salary and applied no wage cap, because we could not confirm its amount from an official source.
