Overtime pay calculator 2026
Enter your salary and the extra hours you worked, then choose the country: the calculator applies that country's hourly wage rule and overtime rates.
Overtime pay is the normal hourly wage (the monthly wage ÷ 30 ÷ 8 in most Gulf labour laws) multiplied by a rate set by law, usually 125% by day and 150% at night or on rest days. Choose the country to apply its law. In Saudi Arabia, for example: 20 daytime overtime hours on a basic salary of 8,000 and a total salary of 10,800 Saudi riyals come to 1,233 Saudi riyals.

| Country | Day | Night | Rest day |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia | 150% | As day | 150% |
| 🇦🇪 United Arab Emirates | 125% | 150% | 150% |
| 🇶🇦 Qatar | 125% | 150% | Not settled |
| 🇰🇼 Kuwait | 125% | As day | 150% |
| 🇴🇲 Oman | 125% | 150% | 200% |
| 🇧🇭 Bahrain | 125% | 150% | 250% |
| 🇯🇴 Jordan | 125% | As day | 150% |
| 🇵🇸 Palestine (inside the Green Line) | 125% | As day | 150% |
| 🇪🇬 Egypt | 135% | 170% | 200% |
"As day" means the law sets no separate night rate, so the daytime rate applies. "Not settled" means the official text does not settle the rate, so the calculator does not price those hours. In Saudi Arabia the premium is half the basic hourly wage on top of the total hourly wage, which is a little under 150% when you have allowances.
