How to add or remove VAT
- Add VAT: price before VAT × 1.10 = price including VAT. For example, 250 becomes 275.
- Remove VAT: price including VAT ÷ 1.10 = price before VAT. The difference is the VAT. For example, 550 including VAT is 500 before VAT and 50 VAT.
- Do not take 10% off a gross price: 10% of 1,100 is 110, but the VAT inside it is 100.
