  • The PRSI rate rose from 4.2% to 4.35% on 1 October 2026. We assumed an even salary over the year, so the annual rate is 4.2375%. From 2027 it will be the full 4.35%.

  • There is no income tax on salaries in Saudi Arabia.
  • We assumed the contributory wage equals your gross salary, up to the cap of 45,000 Saudi riyals a month. In practice the contribution is worked out on the basic wage plus housing allowance only, so if part of your pay is other allowances (transport, for example) the actual deduction will be lower.
  • Nothing is deducted from a non-Saudi employee's salary. The employer pays 2% for occupational hazards, and the employee is entitled to an end-of-service award when the contract ends.
