Deductions on $3,000 a month, line by line
Every deduction from the same gross salary in each country, in local currency, with the calculator's notes.
- The calculation does not include the compulsory health insurance (CNAM) contribution because we could not confirm its rate from an official text, so your actual net pay may be lower.
- Exempt allowances are not counted (such as family allowances, or allowances up to 1,000 ouguiyas a month other than housing and transport).
- There is no income tax on salaries in Saudi Arabia.
- We assumed the contributory wage equals your gross salary, up to the cap of 45,000 Saudi riyals a month. In practice the contribution is worked out on the basic wage plus housing allowance only, so if part of your pay is other allowances (transport, for example) the actual deduction will be lower.
- Nothing is deducted from a non-Saudi employee's salary. The employer pays 2% for occupational hazards, and the employee is entitled to an end-of-service award when the contract ends.
